Dr. AMAR VENNAPUSA

FNB (Minimal Access Surgery)

Dr. Amar is a fellow of national board in minimal access surgery. This is a super speciality degree awarded by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi to the surgeons after completing a two year structured course in the field of advanced laparoscopic, bariatric & metabolic surgeries. Surgeons are selected to this course based on a national level entrance exam. Surgeons need to clear an exit exam to complete the course. During this course Dr. Amar received structured training in advanced laparoscopic, bariatric and metabolic surgeries from Feb 2007 to Feb 2009. He was awarded this degree in Apr 2009. Very few surgeons have this degree in India.

MS (General Surgery)

Dr. Amar studied MS (General Surgery) from Kurnool Medical College from Dec 2000 to Dec 2003. He was the best out going student of the post graduate course in general surgery. He was awarded the degree in Jan 2004.

DNB (General Surgery)

Dr. Amar was awarded this degree by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in Feb 2006. Degrees awarded by National Board of Examinations are prestigious degrees recognised by several countries.

MRCSEd

Dr. Amar is a Member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK since Jun 2005. This degree is awarded by Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh to the surgeons who pass UK standard exams after training in general surgery.

FALS (Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery)

Dr. Amar is a Fellow of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery. He was awarded this fellowship by Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES).

FMAS (Fellow of Minimal Access Surgery)

Dr. Amar is a Fellow of Minimal Access Surgery. He was awarded this degree by Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI).

MD

Dr. Amar is awarded MD degree by Education Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), USA after clearing USMLE exams.

MBBS

Dr. Amar studied MBBS at Kurnool Medical College from Dec 1993 to May 1998. This college is affiliated to NTR University of Health Sciences. He did internship at Govt. General Hospital, Kurnool from Jul 1998 to Jun 1999. He was awarded MBBS degree in Aug 1999. He achieved gold medal in Anatomy.
