You can safely undergo bariatric and metabolic surgeries after recovering from Covid-19 infection but the waiting time depends on the severity of Corona infection, requirement for hospital or ICU admission.

Waiting time from the date of Covid-19 diagnosis to bariatric surgery –
4 weeks – For asymptomatic patients.
4 weeks – For mildly symptomatic patients with non respiratory symptoms.
6 weeks – For symptomatic patients who did not require hospitalization.
8 to 10 weeks – For symptomatic diabetic, immunocompromised, or hospitalized patients.
12 weeks – For patients admitted in ICU.
